Standards of Excellence Risk Management and Harm Reduction Presentation
Ashley Swisshelm, member of Chi Omega Sorority, and Dr. Kelsey Schmuhl from the College of Pharmacy will be providing an educational session on harm reduction resources at Ohio State. The program will count as a Standards of Excellence event in the risk management and harm reduction category.
Harm reduction consists of a practical set of strategies aimed to reduce harm associated with risky behaviors. While many new situations arise in college that could put students at risk, it is important to know about resources to keep you and your friends safe. During this program, students will learn about available harm reduction resources and how to access them at Ohio State.
There will be the opportunity to participate in a short research study associated with the presentation which consists of both a pre- and post-program survey. The research study is voluntary and all information is anonymous. The results of the study will be used to help identify gaps in knowledge about harm reduction resources and improve access to these resources across campus.
