Sorority and Fraternity Life

Buckeye Greek Leadership Institute

Program Overview

Offered each semester, the Buckeye Greek Leadership Institute (BGLI) is one of the oldest leadership programs for new initiates of fraternities and sororities at The Ohio State University. BGLI  is a five-week leadership program consisting of five group discussions as participants build critical problem-solving and leadership skills. The program introduces new members of the sorority and fraternity the basic concepts of values-driven leadership while teaching problem-solving strategies to create positive change in their community. The program was developed by the Sorority and Fraternity Life Chapter Services staff. The program is facilitated by Fraternity & Sorority Life staff members and a peer student leader.

Who Can Participate?

BGLI is intended for members who joined their organization in the last two semesters (Spring 2024 or Fall 2023). For groups that have not recruited in the last two semesters, anyone from your most recent line/new member class can apply. This is not for folks who are currently in New Member Education.

Recommend an emerging leader to participate! We will email them for you!
