Leadership Development

Calling all Emerging Leaders! Offered each semester, the Buckeye Greek Leadership Institute (BGLI) is one of the oldest leadership programs for new initiates of fraternities and sororities at The Ohio State University. BGLI  is a five-week leadership program consisting of five group discussions as participants build critical problem-solving and leadership skills. The program introduces new members of the sorority and fraternity the basic concepts of values-driven leadership while teaching problem-solving strategies to create positive change in their community.

The Harm Reduction Institute (HRI) is a 90-minute institute for chapter leaders that will go over the basic concepts of harm reduction in SFL and help chapters set goals for the AU22 semester. Chapters will be able to start the RM&HR plan with SFL staff throughout the institute.

So you have been elected as your chapter's new member educator. You all have recruited new members, and your organization has given you a packet with the new member curriculum. Now What? In this institute, new member educators will learn how to elevate their new member education experience by learning how groups develop together while learning practical and inclusive teaching skills you need to succeed in this role.

Chapters cannot hold social events until they attend this training.
