Sorority and Fraternity Life
Dr. Kim Monteaux De Freitas joined the Sorority and Fraternity Life Buckeyes as Director in 2017. Kim has over 15 years of experience in Higher Education advising and advocating for sororities and fraternities at public and land-grant institutions. At Ohio State she provides strategic leadership for the Sorority and Fraternity Community and overall direction to the SFL team. Kim is originally from the Northwoods of Wisconsin and is a proud first generation college graduate. While in college Kim joined Phi Sigma Sigma and was on executive board from the day after she was initiated until graduation.
Kim is an active member of the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA) and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). While she has attended dozens of conferences, leadership institutes and learning opportunities a favorite memory was the opportunity to attend IMATS Make-up Artists, Exhibitors and Enthusiasts Trade Show in New York City. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, live music and thrifting. Kim lives in Clintonville with her partner and daughter.
