At the end of each academic year the AAFC to acknowledges scholars who have matriculated at The Ohio State University, celebrating the many achievements of Black and African American students. Please use the information below to get details and to register for this year's event!

32nd Annual Afrikan American Farewell Celebration - May 4, 2024

The Afrikan American Farewell Celebration (AAFC) is celebrating 32 years of excellence at The Ohio State University. AAFC is an established signature event that is coordinated and sponsored by the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Office of Student Life and Office of Diversity and Inclusion. This year’s AAFC celebration will be taking place May 4 at 3 p.m. in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom located inside the Ohio Union.

For full registration deadlines, see below:

  • Early Bird Registration (through Wednesday, January 31): $40
  • Regular Registration (Thursday, February 1 through Thursday, March 7): $50
    • *Student's name and information will not be included in the official AAFC Program Booklet after March 7.
  • Late Registration (Friday, March 8 through Friday, April 26): $70
