At the end of each academic year Sorority and Fraternity Life, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Frank W. Hale Jr. Black Cultural Center and the Office of Student Life sponsor this event to acknowledge students who have matriculated from The Ohio State University, celebrating the many achievements of Black and African American students. 32nd Annual Afrikan American Farewell Celebration - May 4, 2024

The Afrikan American Farewell Celebration (AAFC) is celebrating 32 years of excellence at The Ohio State University. AAFC is an established signature commencement ceremony that is coordinated and sponsored by the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Office of Student Life and Office of Diversity and Inclusion in partnership with student leaders from the Black Student Association and African Youth League. This year’s AAFC celebration will be taking place May 4 at 3 p.m. in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom located inside the Ohio Union.

For full registration deadlines, see below:

  • Early Bird Registration (through Wednesday, January 31): $40
  • Regular Registration (Thursday, February 1 through Thursday, March 7): $50
    • *Graduate's name and information will not be included in the official AAFC Program Booklet 
  • Late Registration (Friday, March 8 through Friday, April 26): $70
