Recruitment & Intake Schedules
Each of the four governing councils and their respective chapters have different methods of recruitment and intake. You will find more information about their events and important dates listed below. For any questions about a specific process, please email sfl@osu.edu or check out the council webpage. Don't forget to get registered for recruitment and submit your grade release!
Interfraternity Council
STEP ONE! -- Be sure to register for IFC Recruitment and complete the subsequent information form via CampusDirector. It is required to attend all IFC Recruitment events in order to participate in chapter recruitment events.
IFC PNM Orientation (REQUIRED): Wednesday, January 8 | 6 p.m. | Performance Hall, Ohio Union
This event will cover what it means to be a potential new member and how to be successful during fraternity recruitment. This event is IN PERSON and will be required for all potential new members going through recruitment.
IFC Recruitment Fair (REQUIRED): Thursday, January 9 | 6 - 8 p.m. | Archie Griffin West Ballroom, Ohio Union
During the IFC Recruitment Fair, you will be able to meet the brothers of each fraternity. In addition, you will be able to learn the values and principles of each fraternity. We encourage you to get recruitment schedules and contacts of chapters that interest you the most. You are able to stop by the recruitment fair at any time between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
IFC Chapter Events Begin: Friday, January 10
Potential new members can check out the various recruitment events hosted by all IFC organizations. Schedules for events will be shared via chapter Instagram pages and from the IFC email if students registered for recruitment.
Multicultural Greek Council
Most chapters in MGC host individual intake processes that are determined by the local chapter and national organization. Chapters will share informational meeting times and locations via social media, word of mouth, and other campus marketing strategies. Intake activities may begin as early as the first day of classes and must conclude by the last day of classes. Be sure to check out MGC's events to learn more about the council and its chapters!
National Pan-Hellenic Council
All chapters in NPHC host individual intake processes that are determined by the local chapter and national organization. Chapters will share informational meeting times and locations via social media, word of mouth, and other campus marketing strategies. Intake activities may begin as early as the first day of classes and must conclude by the last day of classes. Be sure to check out NPHC's events to learn more about the council and its chapters!
Panhellenic Association
Sign up for PHA Primary Recruitment, also known as formal recruitment, by completing an SFL Interest Form and submitting your registration via CampusDirector. The cost to register is $80 before October 31. After October 31, the registration fee will be $90. Primary recruitment registration will open on Friday, September 20.
Primary Recruitment will begin the first week of classes in Spring 2025. The deadline to register is Monday, January 7 at 9 a.m. A complete schedule is listed below:
